Ayurveda does not treat a diagnosis, it treats a person. Before any therapy begins, our Ayurveda specialists assess your Prakriti — your constitution of Vata, Pitta and Kapha — along with your digestion, sleep and history. That assessment decides which treatments you receive, in what order and for how long. Panchakarma is traditionally used to remove accumulated toxins (Ama), support digestion and restore energy (Ojas). It is a cleansing process, so it is only started once your body is strong enough to go through it. Depending on your Prakriti and condition, your plan may include Abhyanga (medicated oil massage), Shirodhara (continuous warm oil stream on the forehead), Potali (herbal poultice) and Medicated Basti. This is why our recovery programme integrates Ayurveda and Panchakarma with Naturopathy, Psychotherapy, Psychiatry, Physician care and Spirituality — so care addresses the root, not just the symptoms.
